My Story

I’ve always been fiercely competitive, living my life determined to be number one. Whenever I won a footrace, my grandmother would praise me — “That’s amazing!” “What a future you have ahead of you!” — and her words gave me confidence. When someone truly believes in you, you can keep pushing. That early experience taught me that confidence builds the future.

After high school I entered a vocational college, studied desperately, and earned many qualifications: judo therapist, acupuncturist and moxibustionist, chiropractor, medical trainer, and taping therapy instructor, plus a cook’s license. I studied cooking because I wanted to help resolve ailments caused by poor diet and lifestyle, and to be able to advise on delicious, well-balanced meals.

After qualifying, I became a tournament doctor for karate and kickboxing, traveling the country alongside the athletes. While supporting them, I once applied acupuncture to the badly swollen face of a fighter, who told me, “It’s so much better. Thank you.”

Today many acupuncturists practice beauty acupuncture, but back then, needling the face at all was denounced as heresy. Even so, I never stopped. That was because I kept seeing athletes whose symptoms improved with acupuncture rejoice, regain their confidence, and face their sport head-on again. It was the moment my desire to help many people find confidence began to take root.

Years have passed since I opened a salon in Osaka built around facial slimming and beauty acupuncture. We are trusted by many clients — top athletes, models, entertainers, and business leaders. Having seen the bone structure of hundreds of thousands of people, I have gained techniques backed by experience and results. Then an artist friend said to me, “Why not take on the world?” — and I resolved to do exactly that.

We have now opened our first overseas salon in Malaysia, and from Asia we intend to spread our wings across the world. Confidence makes people brighter and more positive. When a complex disappears, confidence wells up. I want as many people as possible to feel confident in themselves. If Synchro Correction KADOMORI can play a part in that, nothing would make me happier.

Activities

Founded KADOMORI Co., Ltd. in 2007. As chief director of the Osaka, Daikanyama, and Nagoya salons, he continues to treat clients on the front line while traveling overseas and appearing widely in the media.

His clientele spans the globe — including six-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao — from New York, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills to Shanghai, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai, carrying Japanese technique to the world.

The first overseas salon is scheduled to open in Malaysia in 2023.

My Story

After earning my acupuncture license, I moved to New York to study beauty and English. At the time I wanted to become an acupuncturist focused on treating the body through East Asian medicine, but to make it in this demanding industry I decided to go to America — to acquire something extra, and with the hope of one day sharing Japan’s delicate techniques with the world.

At esthetics school, the curriculum included an internship treating members of the public. When I began treating one Black woman, she took offense at my wearing a mask, and the moment she lay on the bed she shouted at me, hurling slurs. I was frightened, but wanting above all for her to rest, I poured my heart into the treatment so her feelings might settle.

When the session ended and she woke to see her refreshed, beautiful face, she said “Thank you” — and apologized for everything she had said at the start: “I was busy. I had no room to breathe.”

Seeing her transformed before and after the treatment, I became captivated for the first time by the depth and allure of beauty. And such discrimination was not hers alone; living in America, I felt it almost daily. Through these experiences I learned firsthand that “becoming beautiful” touches not only the outside but the heart.

Now, as a member of KADOMORI, I face each client sincerely, hoping to help them live richer lives through becoming beautiful.

Having become a mother myself, I now understand the feelings of women raising children. For clients who visit between the demands of parenting, I hope to offer beauty and healing — a place to catch their breath and think, “I can do this again!”

And someday I will fulfill my original goal: to share Japanese technique with the world, and through beauty, to help build a world without discrimination!!!

My Story

From my student days I wanted a career in beauty. Back then I didn’t even know the acupuncturist qualification existed, and vaguely planned to become a hairstylist.

But when the time came to choose a school and I researched beauty qualifications, I discovered there were many paths — not just hairstyling but nursing, esthetics, and more.

Then I learned that an acupuncture vocational school was holding an open campus on cosmetic acupuncture, and my interest was sparked. As I attended and learned, I was deeply drawn to the acupuncturist’s ability to “beautify not just the outside but from within the body.”

Women want to stay beautiful at every age, and beauty rests on health — that’s how I think, so it felt like the perfect fit, and I decided to qualify as an acupuncturist. In fact, as I received cosmetic acupuncture again and again in class, the acne scars, premenstrual skin trouble, and hay fever that had troubled me improved — I still remember how moved I was.

Until then I had been so embarrassed by my skin that I lived under thick layers of concealer. Once my skin cleared, I think I gained a little confidence in myself. What oral medicine, ointments, and even laser treatment could not fix was improved by cosmetic acupuncture once a month.

I want to keep raising both my technique and my character so I can pass this wonder on to KADOMORI’s clients!

Beyond my acupuncture qualification, I’ve studied beauty in depth — earning the Japan Cosmetics Certification and qualifications in essential oils and oil massage.

My Story

In high school, a teammate of mine struggled with a lower-back injury, playing through the pain — until, right before our final tournament, the injury worsened and he couldn’t take the field. I had no knowledge of the body then, and could do nothing but watch him carry that injury.

That experience made me want to reduce, even a little, the number of people troubled by their bodies — so I set out to become an acupuncturist. As I studied the body, I learned of the field of beauty, and when I went to receive cosmetic acupuncture myself, the magnitude of the results moved me deeply.

I had no confidence in my looks and hated having my face looked at — but suddenly I wanted to show someone this change, right now! I even felt a strange new confidence that I might actually be popular. (laughs)

Wanting many more people to know this transformative wonder, I resolved to enter the field of beauty.

From early childhood I suffered from atopic skin, and dreaded showing it in front of others.

I hated looking in mirrors, hated being photographed. I still remember the guilt and helplessness I felt at words like, “He seems so healthy, poor thing…”

Out of that longing — “I have to change this somehow” — I began deepening my knowledge of beauty and health.
That was when I encountered acupuncture.

The sensitive skin and disordered gut that no beauty method had improved got visibly better as acupuncture balanced my autonomic nervous system — and I felt the change not only in my skin’s texture but in the steadiness of my heart.

As my appearance changed, so did the way people responded to me, and I felt from the bottom of my heart: acupuncture has the power to change a person’s life.

Today I treat clients daily with the desire to be a strong ally for those who, like I once did, struggle with skin trouble and mental ups and downs.

Beyond caring for the body, I aim to balance the autonomic nervous system — the root of many ailments — to help bring more “smiling hours” into more people’s lives. From diet, exercise, and sleep to mindset, feel free to consult me about anything, however small.

My Story

What set me on the path to acupuncture was my grandmother falling ill, when I was in elementary school, with cerebellar atrophy — a designated intractable disease. She had looked after me in place of my working parents, and as I watched her body grow less able to move day by day, there was nothing I could do for her.

Even now no cure has been found for this disease, but there were cases where acupuncture produced positive responses in the body, and my grandmother received acupuncture treatment. She has since passed away, but learning that such treatments existed, I thought: if anyone in my family falls ill like that again, I want to be the one to heal them with acupuncture. That is how I stepped into this world.

I also played baseball through elementary, junior high, and high school, and when injuries struck, it was acupuncturists, judo therapists, and athletic trainers who saved me — which made my desire to heal people carrying injuries and ailments even stronger.

In my previous work I focused mainly on treating the body, so at KADOMORI I intend to take a full-fledged approach to the beauty side as well. For concerns of health and beauty alike — leave it to Asakura!

My Story

I joined KADOMORI four years ago. Before that, I spent six years at an insurance-covered bone-setting clinic in Osaka, mainly treating stiff shoulders and back pain — with acupuncture, of course, and also treatments using the INDIBA device.

Then one day, a skills seminar was held at the vocational school Chief Director Kadomori graduated from, and I attended. It was my first encounter with “beauty” as a path. Having never even considered such an option, I knocked on KADOMORI’s door, eager to open that new world.

My clinical experience proved useful in the beauty field in many ways, and I found I could bring joy to a far wider range of people. These four years have passed not as “work” but as time I’ve been absorbed in. Before I knew it I had become deputy director of the Daikanyama salon, and since 2022 I’ve taught as a Small-Face Sommelier instructor for those who want to learn facial slimming.

Dependable colleagues, clients who count on me, students full of eagerness to learn — honestly, it’s I who draw energy from them all every day. (laughs)

My Story

When I was in elementary school, I suffered from hatake — round, coin-sized patches of white, flaky, dry eczema. Searching for a remedy, I discovered skin care — toners, emulsions — and eventually healed it completely.

That experience taught me the importance of caring for the skin, and sparked my interest in skin care and beauty.

I wanted to master cosmetic acupuncture because needling the face improves skin quality from within: it guards against dryness, guides the skin toward deeper hydration, and leaves it beautiful. I believed it would be a genuinely effective method for people carrying the same troubles I once did.

It is also effective for lifting, sagging, puffiness, a prominent jaw, distortion, and jaw joint disorders — versatile enough to answer a wide range of concerns. And the absence of side effects is another attraction.

As for bodywork, I first encountered it playing basketball as a student, turning to it whenever injury or pain struck. Beyond sports injuries, it also works on stiff shoulders and back pain, and many clients are delighted with the results — and because it improves blood flow and lymph circulation, it brings synergy to beauty as well.
