My Story

I’ve always been fiercely competitive, living my life determined to be number one. Whenever I won a footrace, my grandmother would praise me — “That’s amazing!” “What a future you have ahead of you!” — and her words gave me confidence. When someone truly believes in you, you can keep pushing. That early experience taught me that confidence builds the future.

After high school I entered a vocational college, studied desperately, and earned many qualifications: judo therapist, acupuncturist and moxibustionist, chiropractor, medical trainer, and taping therapy instructor, plus a cook’s license. I studied cooking because I wanted to help resolve ailments caused by poor diet and lifestyle, and to be able to advise on delicious, well-balanced meals.

After qualifying, I became a tournament doctor for karate and kickboxing, traveling the country alongside the athletes. While supporting them, I once applied acupuncture to the badly swollen face of a fighter, who told me, “It’s so much better. Thank you.”

Today many acupuncturists practice beauty acupuncture, but back then, needling the face at all was denounced as heresy. Even so, I never stopped. That was because I kept seeing athletes whose symptoms improved with acupuncture rejoice, regain their confidence, and face their sport head-on again. It was the moment my desire to help many people find confidence began to take root.

Years have passed since I opened a salon in Osaka built around facial slimming and beauty acupuncture. We are trusted by many clients — top athletes, models, entertainers, and business leaders. Having seen the bone structure of hundreds of thousands of people, I have gained techniques backed by experience and results. Then an artist friend said to me, “Why not take on the world?” — and I resolved to do exactly that.

We have now opened our first overseas salon in Malaysia, and from Asia we intend to spread our wings across the world. Confidence makes people brighter and more positive. When a complex disappears, confidence wells up. I want as many people as possible to feel confident in themselves. Founded KADOMORI Co., Ltd. in 2007. As chief director of the Osaka, Daikanyama, and Nagoya salons, he continues to treat clients on the front line while traveling overseas and appearing widely in the media.

His clientele spans the globe — including six-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao — from New York, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills to Shanghai, Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai, carrying Japanese technique to the world.

The first overseas salon is scheduled to open in Malaysia in 2023.

My Story

I had struggled with skin troubles and constipation for as long as I can remember. Even while working in beauty, they plagued me daily. Through a connection with Chief Director Kadomori, I learned of a salon specializing in intestinal massage — and intuition told me: this is it!

Learning that “caring for your gut is caring for yourself” and “your body is made of what you eat,” I decided to stake everything on it.

In fact, the day I first received treatment at the intestinal-massage salon, my stomach felt wonderfully light — but what astonished me most, walking back to the station, was how light my neck, shoulders, and legs felt, far from the gut itself. That very day my system truly cleared, and I thought: the gut is fascinating! I want to know more!

I resolved to master this technique, transform myself from the gut outward, and share with my own clients just how vital the gut is to health!!

From then on, I found myself thinking about the gut more and more each day, and finally faced my own eating habits and sleep. Thanks to that, I overcame the complexes I had carried.

Today, I collect data on my own experience and on the lifestyles and symptoms of clients who receive intestinal massage, identify each client’s gut type, and support them in resolving their concerns and living better.

I cherish every person who takes an interest in my intestinal massage, and making clients beautiful from the gut outward has become my daily joy.

My Story

In junior high I belonged to the soccer club and threw myself into it. In my second year I was chosen as a starter for the rookie tournament, playing from the very first match.

We advanced through the local and district qualifiers, but in the match before the deciding game for the Tokyo tournament, I collided with an opponent and injured my right ankle. We managed to win, but my ankle swelled badly and I could barely walk.

The deciding match was two weeks away. Determined to heal in time, I went straight to an orthopedic clinic.

The diagnosis was a sprain — but full recovery would take at least a month, and the only prescription was conservative care: ice and rest. Faced with the reality that I could no longer play in the deciding match we had fought so hard to reach, I was overcome with emptiness.

Then a teammate introduced me to the acupuncture practitioner he was seeing, and there I received acupuncture treatment for the first time. With the treatment and proper care methods, my symptoms improved steadily — within a week I could run again. I even received performance-boosting treatment right up to match day; of course I played, and performed better than ever.

That experience set me on the path of acupuncture after high school. As I studied, I grew deeply curious about the structure of the human body, and realized that the discomforts and complexes I had felt about my own body could actually be improved.

The essence of acupuncture’s philosophy — the East Asian medical principle of “curing illness before it arises” — serves in preventive and complementary medicine, and today that technique has extended even into beauty.

My Story

Even as a schoolboy, I was particular about skin care. In my final year of high school, my mother — a beauty and health enthusiast — said, “Why not try cosmetic acupuncture? It’ll make your skin beautiful!” That was how I first learned of it.

I had already experienced acupuncture for sports, and I felt that a discipline combining both “beauty” and “treatment” would become a weapon for life. So I went on to acupuncture school — and then to KADOMORI, which felt like the perfect fit for me.

One thing I hold dear in life is to listen, observe, and imagine: what can I do for this person? What do they want from me? If those actions bring someone joy or happiness, I am happy too. I feel that acupuncture is the profession where that mindset can be used to the fullest.

I have always cared strongly about first impressions and how I appear to others, and I am very particular about my own appearance, hairstyle, and clothes. Looking back, I think my schoolboy devotion to skin care had its roots there. The desire to become better never runs dry… I often step back and ask myself what would bring out my best.

What working in beauty made me realize anew is that everyone has an ideal — a wish to be better than they are today. I intend to keep facing, with full dedication, each client’s feelings as they move from the complexes they carry about their face and body toward the self they want to become.

Have you ever woken up, looked in the mirror, and felt your heart sink at a new pimple — or your mood drop at a puffy face? I’ve had that experience many times.

My school days were far removed from beauty: basketball in elementary and junior high, softball in high school. I even entered vocational school to earn my acupuncture and judo therapy qualifications with the aim of becoming a sports trainer.

But seeing firsthand how demanding a sports trainer’s life is, I lost heart and gave up on that path. Just as I no longer knew what to aim for, COVID arrived. Forced into life behind a mask, under the combined stress of national-exam studies and the pandemic, my skin erupted in acne.

Every morning I’d look in the mirror and sink at the sight of new breakouts, then squeeze them and suffer again over the scars — an endless loop… In the midst of that, I advanced to the acupuncture department and learned of cosmetic acupuncture.

Imitating what I saw, I began needling my own face, and as the acne and scars gradually improved, the days of despairing at the mirror grew fewer.

Just washing my face in the morning and finding it a little more refreshed than usual — the acne and redness slightly better than yesterday — lifts my mood. Realizing how much a single pimple or a little puffiness can change a whole day, I found a new goal: I want as many people as possible to start their mornings feeling happy like that.

My Story

What set me on the path to acupuncture was my grandmother falling ill, when I was in elementary school, with cerebellar atrophy — a designated intractable disease. She had looked after me in place of my working parents, and as I watched her body grow less able to move day by day, there was nothing I could do for her.

Even now no cure has been found for this disease, but there were cases where acupuncture produced positive responses in the body, and my grandmother received acupuncture treatment. She has since passed away, but learning that such treatments existed, I thought: if anyone in my family falls ill like that again, I want to be the one to heal them with acupuncture. That is how I stepped into this world.

I also played baseball through elementary, junior high, and high school, and when injuries struck, it was acupuncturists, judo therapists, and athletic trainers who saved me — which made my desire to heal people carrying injuries and ailments even stronger.

In my previous work I focused mainly on treating the body, so at KADOMORI I intend to take a full-fledged approach to the beauty side as well. For concerns of health and beauty alike — leave it to Asakura!

After three years of acupuncture school you earn the right to sit the national exam — but when I took it, I failed by a single point. The setback crushed me; for two months I could do nothing.

Realizing I couldn’t go on like that, I studied again from scratch, found work, and joined a bone-setting clinic. Treating clients for the first time, I tasted the joy of seeing bodies get better and the pleasure of the work itself, kept studying — and passed the national exam the following year.

I feel keenly that I stand here today thanks to the support of many people.

It is no exaggeration to say my experiences made me who I am. Past mistakes are never wasted; I keep studying and accumulating experience to grow each day, and treat every client with gratitude.

I still have far to go, but for every complex, every pain, every area you want healed, I will find the true cause and the best path to recovery — examining carefully and delivering the finest treatment matched to your muscles, bones, and condition, to guide you to your best self. My Story

For about 16 years — from age two through my final year of high school — I swam competitively. In high school I injured my shoulder and received treatment at bodywork and bone-setting clinics.

Watching the practitioner in charge of me bring smiles to his patients — “The pain is gone!” “Thank you!” — he seemed impossibly cool, like a hero.

Seeing him, I came to want fiercely to become a healer who makes people happy, and I chose this path. Straight after high school I entered a vocational school for judo therapy. I even repeated a year, but never gave up — going on to acupuncture school and gaining experience working at a bone-setting clinic.

I joined KADOMORI after Mr. Kadomori and Ms. Horiuchi came to give a seminar while I was still in school. Their passion for the work and their management philosophy struck a deep chord in me — I had always wanted a job involving both cosmetic acupuncture and body treatment, one that would delight clients — and I knew I wanted to be part of KADOMORI.

KADOMORI, striding across the world, is a dream-like place for me. I will deliver moving experiences to clients, keep growing, and strive to become a first-class practitioner active on the world stage.
